Welcome to the new and improved web site, which, hopefully, will give you easier access to all my books. My web admin and I have been working hard to improve your experience.
First, let me begin by thanking all of you who have been in my corner from the very beginning. Your support, enthusiasm and encouragement means more to me than you can imagine.
This writing business is tough, and it’s especially tough for writers who don’t have contracts with the big publishing companies |

| .It’s a struggle, and it can get discouraging very quickly. Knowing that you guys are out there keeps me going. For that, I’m truly grateful.
This fall, I will have two new books coming out—Gnosis, a mystery featuring Detective Jack Dantzler, and the updated, third edition of The Kentucky Basketball Encyclopedia. So, as you can see, my chubby fingers have been burning up the keyboard for the past several months.
Those of you familiar with my work are aware that Gnosis is the third book featuring Dantzler. Gnosis, by the way, is a Greek word meaning knowledge. In Gnosis, Dantzler is summoned to the prison by Eli Whitehouse, a former preacher who has spent the past 29 years behind bars for committing a double murder. Eli, who has terminal cancer, now claims his innocence, and wants Dantzler to uncover the truth.
Naturally, Dantzler is skeptical. But when he receives a phone call warning him to let sleeping dogs lie, he knows something is hinky. He also knows he has to look into the case.
As Dantzler digs deeper, two more people are murdered. But Eli refuses to give Dantzler the clue that might solve the case. But as Dantzler is leaving the prison, Eli whispers “think of Jesus’s empty tomb.” In the end, this will be the clue that solves the puzzle.
I don’t mean to brag, but if you like a mystery, I’m confident you’ll enjoy Gnosis.
The Kentucky Basketball Encyclopedia is long overdue, having been originally published in 2001 and updated in 2002. The new edition will bring it up through 2011. This is easily the most detailed history of UK's illustrious basketball program, going all the way back to that first season in 1903.
There is a story on each season, more than 115 player profiles, box scores of some of UK’s most memorable games and, of course, plenty of statistics and records.
For this edition, ex-Wildcat great Kyle Macy is writing the Foreword.
If you’re a Big Blue fan, you’ll love this book.
One final note: Many of you who read my most recent novel, Heirs of Cain, have asked if there will be a sequel or a follow-up. Apparently, you guys liked the great assassin. Well, so do I. So, I’ll let you in on a secret: I’m currently well into a new book, titled Blood Time, that will feature both Cain and Dantzler. If all goes well, it will be out sometime in 2012.
Again, I want to thank all of you for hanging with me. I really appreciate it. And I would love to hear from you. If you want to reach me, go to the Contact tab and tell me what you’re thinking.
Thanks,
Tom |
