Tom Wallace is the author of two previous mysteries featuring Detective Jack Dantzler—What Matters Blood (2004) and The Devil’s Racket (2007), both set in Lexington, Kentucky, where Tom lives. He also wrote the thriller, Heirs of Cain (2010).

His next novel, Gnosis, brings back Detective Dantzler. Gnosis won the Claymore Dagger Award at the Killer Nashville Conference.

Tom spent many years as a successful, award-winning sportswriter/editor in his native Kentucky, having worked for the Henderson Gleaner and for Hall of Fame broadcaster Cawood Ledford.

Tom has authored five sports-related books, including the highly popular Kentucky Basketball Encyclopedia, an in-depth history of the University of Kentucky’s legendary hoops program. An updated third edition of the Kentucky Basketball Encyclopedia is scheduled for release later this fall.

A graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Journalism, Tom was twice honored by The Kentucky Press Association for writing the best sports story in the state. He is an active member of Mystery Writers of America and The Author’s Guild.

Tom, a Vietnam veteran currently lives with his wife Marilyn in Lexington, Kentucky.
